Two shops belonging to Small and Hay, burned at Blenheim, are insured for £680 in the Manchester office.

The New Zealand Government has decided to supply gratis a copy of the New Zealand Justice of the Peace Handbook, prepared by Mr Haselden, S.M., to any J.P. who makes application for it.

No tenders were received for the iron railway viaduct at Piripiri, near Dannevirke. The Department will probably have to undertake construction itself.
