Borough Notices. |T»OROUGH OF NEWTON. 'Te Valuation Lists for the Borough of Newton for the Year 1899-1900 are now open for Inspection at the Council's Office, Surrey Hills. All objections thereto must be left at the Borough Council Office on or before the 15th day of March next, addressed to the Assessment Court, and a copy of every such objection must be left at the Borough Council Office not less than seven days before the sitting of the said Court. Notice is hereby given that a Meeting of the Borough Council of Birkenhead will be held at Zion Hill School on THURSDAY, March 23, at 7 o'clock, to consider the question of confirming the Resolution of the Council, passed to make a By-law to Regulate Riding on Bicycles within the Borough. The objects of the Bye-law are— 1. To prohibit riding on bicycles on -footpath. 2. To 'require that an alarm bell be kept ringing. 3. To require a light to be carried between sunset and sunrise. 4.
