At Mr R. C. Carr's auction rooms to-day an allotment in Freeman's Bay, with 49 feet frontage to Welles-ley-street, was sold for £IGI. A shop and dwelling in Victoria-street, with 18ft. frontage and 84ft. depth, was passed in at £390. A prisoner named James Jones died in the Mt. Eden Gaol this, morning. He was awaiting trial on a charge of breaking and entering. Last three days of Court Bros.' sale. A few pairs left of the sanitary blankets, large size, at 3/11 pair.—(Ad.)
