KAURI GUM MARKET.
AUCKLAND, Wednesday.
The kauri gum market has shown little alteration during the past week. A strong- demand still exists for three quarter scraped- as this grade is in short supply. East Coast moves off as it comes to hand, demand being about equal to the supply forwarded.- There seems to be a better feeling with respect to ordinary gum. Supplies of low grade gum still continue excessive. During the week 352 tons of gum of all grades were sent in, the bulk of which was low class. Quotations are as follows: — Poor ordinary £35 to £42 Fair ordinary ~....£45 to £50 Good ordinary • £52 to £62 Superior ordinary £70 to £80 East Coast £71 to £73 "•-scraped £HO up
