CITY COUNCIL ELECTION.
To-day Mr T. Ussher, Returning Officer', received nominations for the office Of councillor for Karangahape Ward, to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of Mr J. Trenwith. Two nominations were received, viz., Mr Eobert Salmon, nominated by Messrs Win. Winstone and Thomas Prosser; Mr J. Patterson, nominated by Messrs Patrick Brophy and Atkinson Tiplady. The election will take place on March IG.
