The' ship Loch■_ Fergus, which went ashOre at Killiney Beach while on a voyage from Glasgow to Brisbane, is an iron barque-of 874 tons. She is 202.1 feet long, 33:2 feet in the beam, and 18.7 feet in depth of hold. She was built at Glasgow in 1875 by D. W. Henderson and Co. for Messrs J. Sproat and Co., of Liverpool.
The steamer Douglas, ashore at the mouth of the Mokau River, was formerly one of the Northern Co.'s fleet, and was engaged in the trade between Whangarei and Auckland. She was purchased last year by the Mokau Coal and Shipping Company, and has since been engaged In the trade between Mokau and Wellington, via ports. She was built in Auckland in 1882, and Is 83.4 feet long, 17.8 feet: broad, and 7.8 feet deep, her tonnage being 93. . .
