Auckland. By order of the Board. VINCENT E. RICE, Secretary. AUCKLAXD STEAM LAUNDRY X - COMPANY, LIMITED. To be registered under the Companies Act, ISsi, and Amendments. CAPITAL £5000 In 5000 shares of £1 each. 4200 of which are offered to the public—o/ per share on application, 5/ per share on allotment, and the balance if, and when, required, in calls of not more than 1/ per share, and not oftener than every two months. Directors: Solicitors: MESSRS JACKSON AND RUSSELL. Bankers: NATIONAL BANK OF NEW ZEALAND. This company is being formed for the purpose of continuing and increasing a Steam Laundry Business, now being successfully carried on at Mechanics' Bay, Auckland. The vendors are to receive for their interest the sum of £2000, £800 of which is to be in fully paid up shares, and £1200 cash. The whole of the balance, less expenses of flotation and brokerage, will be placed to the credit of the company. The property consists of a building of two storeys, with a frontage of 50 feet, by a depth of 150 feet or thereabouts; it is well and substantially built, and is held on a lease for 43 years, at a rental of £75 per annum. Included in lease Is valuable frontage, which can be let at a. good rental. The business is already in operation, and a contract h.i.s been secured for all the Laundry Work of the Union Steamship Company; the whole of the Htiddurt-Parker work is also done, and a large share of the Northern Steamship Company and the Coastal Trade, besides that of hotels, boarding houses, and private families. Owing to presure of work, orders have had to be refused; but when the new machinery now arriving is erected the company will be able to cope with all orders received. This being the only steam laundry in Auckland, and with a good business already secured, there is no opposition, with the new labour saving machinery, and the large new business offering, the vendors have every confidence in recommending it as a good mid safe Investment. The profits are large, and it Is proposed as an extra inducement to allow all bona tide shareholders to the extent of £50 a rebate of 10 per cent, on all work done for them. Owing to the business being a going concern, it is not likely that more than 10/ per share will require to be called up, as everything requisite will have been paid for, including £250 worth of New Machinery, and the business is already running at a substantial profit. Application for shares, accompanied by a deposit of 5/ per share, will Be received by Messrs Cooke and Buddie, 76. Victoria Arcade, Auckland. Should no allotment be made deposits will be returned in full.
