NELSON, this day

A man named Will iam Wilkens, employed at Frederic. Bensemann's sawmill at Upper Moubere, caught one hand in a belt y'esterdny, and was dashed against the machinery. His right arm, right leg, and collarbone were broken, and several bruises were inflicted. Prompt assistance was rendered by others, who threw the bolt off the 'flywheel and stopped the engine, otherwise "Wilkens would have been dashed to pieces. He is doing as well as can be expected.
