The second of the series of wool sales took place this morning. The attendance was good, including nil the loading local men and representatives of Home and American mai'kets. Biddingl opened briskly, and continued lively throughout. % Prices .show an advance in some "cases, and a decline in others, but taken all round there is v general improvement on last, scries rates. Cross-breds fetched as high as 7Ad; merinos. Sd; half-bred, S.'.d; pieces" 4i»d: bellies, 4gd. 9GIS bales were offered against 9074 offered last year.
