DISCOVERED.
BRISBANE, January 7
Another mystery is reported to the police.- A fortnight before Christmas a boy named Hill, 15 years old. left his parents residence at Atmdah, near Brisbane, to spend a few days witli relatives. He never reached his destination. A few days since the lad's pony was discovered dead with a bullet wound in the forehead, ten miles from Brisbane. The horse lay among a bushy scrub. Near by were the remains of a tire and several pieces of roasted flesh. These have been submitted to experts for examination for the purpose of determining whether they are human flesh. The father of the lad is convinced that harm has been done to his son, as he was notlikely to leave home. The police are investigating the affair.
