"'Per Taviuni, from the Islands: 5702 ■bunches bananas, ,118 baskets' bananas, 174 cases bananas, 2000 sacks sugar, 145. sacks peanuts, 1974 sacks copra, 134 sacks fungus, and sundry packages. On Monday the barquentine Frank Guy leaves for Tairua to load timber, for Sydney. The German warship Falke and H.M.s. Porpoise were in port at Apia on 28th December. The barquentine Sydney Belle leaves this-evening for Mercury Bay to, load timber for Sydney. The schooner Croydon Lass sails for Norfolk Island on Monday next. The s.s. Poherua leaves the Bluff for 'Auckland, via Oamaru and Tlmaru on the 18th instant. Thence she. makes fortnightly trips up the coast with produce. The brig Edward will leav. for the Thames to-night to load timber for Melbourne.
