POULTRY FARMING IN THE COLONY.

WELLINGTON, tliis day.
Mr D. D. Hyde, the Government poultry expert, speaks in confident terms of the rapid growth* of the poultry industry in observed during his recent tour m the South Island. Five hundred dozen of eggs of a superior class were sup. plied to settlers in various parts of the colony during the past season by the Agricultural Department.
