The half-yearly meeting ol; shareholders lapsed to-day. . Tbe cash statement showed receipts £24S 14s 2d and expenditure £147 2s 2d, leaving a Credit balance of £101 12s. RURU CONSOLIDATED Cleaning up took place to-day. The return is understood to be a moderate one. BUNKER'S HILL. The manager telegraphed to-day: 'Good gold "showing in the quartz broken down to-day in 4-inch leader driving north. Gold showing in the quartz broken from the 4-inch leader driving south. Gold showing in the quartz broken down to-day in the rise. BARRIER REEFS. The low level adit is in 1045 feet. The face is now in quartz. Two feet back the footwall of what appears to be a large reef was first cut in the roof of the adit. The reef is now stripped, bill the drive is hardly into it. The dip. strike, character of the quartz, and other indications point to this being the reef for which cross cutting was proceeding, •The east and west drives are in respectively 107 and I">s feet. Work has been discontinued in the adit and west drives until after the New Yea* as the men wished to go to town for the holidays. The heavy rains of Hie past week did no damage. Besides the contractors on the road, there are adozen men also on day wages, and it is intended to soon put on more to push the road to completion, ECLIPSE. A parcel of picked stone, obtained from the reef some time back, was crushed for a yield of 50oz 12dwt of melted gold, valued at £140 14/9. This is in addition to the return of £249 19/7 obtained from .100 tons of: ore during- the previous month, so that the to.nl value of the two yields together amounts to £396 14/4. A ten-stamper battery and six berdans are to be erected early next year. KARAKA JUNES, This Company has had treated at the May Queen Extended battery a. trial parcel of 100 tons of quartz broken from the various reel's since startingoperations. The return was £80 18/0. GOOD LUCK CLAIM. The tributers in the Good Luck Claim, Wakaroa Creek, Wooll and Edwards, crushed about two tons.at the Hauraki Associated battery for the splendid return of 42ozs 4dwts, of the value of £128 13/. They had only been working a little while.
