ARRIVAL IN AUCKLAND.
The Eight Hon. It. J. Seddon, Premier, arrived in the Manukau on Dec. 1 by the Government steamer Tutanekai, and he came on to Auckland by special train, which reached the station about ten o'clock. The Premier was met by Mr P. A. Philips, Town Clerk, Hon. W. Swanson, Hon. W. T. Jennings, Mr F. Lawry, M.H.R., Mr J. J. Holland, M.H.R., and Mr Dockrill, Mayor of New Plymouth. The Town Clerk welcomed the Premier, and hoped that his stay here would be an enjoyable one. The Premier then drove to the Star Hotel, and at noon he was present at the opening ceremony of the Auckland Exhibition.
