AQUATICS.
Ejitries for the Auckland Yacht Club's race for the cup presented by Mr A. B. Donald, to take place next Saturday, close to-morrow at 5 p.m. with the secretary, Mr Bellamy, at Messrs Ross and Ansenne's.
St. George's Rowing Club rowed heats in the trial fours last evening. Murray's crew beat- Busby's and l'helan's by a length and a-haif, and Dunnage's crew defeated Hogau's. The heats will be continued this evening.
Last evening the West End Rowing Club rowed off the fourth heat in the trial fours, the result being that Alex. Stephenson's crew won the race iby about half a length from McGibbon's four, Hiekson's being third and Pricker's fourth. The winning crew consisted of A. Stephenson, Bannerman, Metcalfe, Cummings and W. Ross (coxswain). The fifth race was rowed at 6.30 o'clock this morning, four crews competing. After a warmly-contested race Dowden's crew won by about a length. Blair's four being second. Boyce's third, and Young's last. The winning crew consisted of R. Dowden (stroke"), R. H. Cook, Littleproud, S. Bell and G. Clarke (coxswain). The sixth and last race of the first round will take place this evening.
