FOOTPADS AT EPSOM.
A case of assault and robbery on the Manukau Road, Epsom, has been reported to the police. A mining engineer by the name of William Brain, residing at Bennont Terrace, Remuera, states that about 7 o'clock on Sunday evening he was on his way to Onehunga to attend a religious meeting, when lie avus met by three men, aa tlio assaulted and robbed him of a Waterbury watch and goid chain and locket, Worth £4, and 2/ in silver, the total value of the articles being £4 16/. He was unable to give the police any description cf the men.
