i ! -: MARKET REPORT. The Loan and Mercantile Agency report:—At our Tuesday's sale hides ware in large supply and good demand at fully equal to last week's rate. Hides: I-leavy stout s_d to Gd, no prime offered, stout 4_;d to s._d, medium 4Jd to -lid, light 3_.cl to 4d, cow (best) SJd, nicked heavy 4d tv 4£.d, kip 3_.d to 4d,calf 3d to id. Sheepskins: Dry skins barely kept late values; we sold large salted 4/3 to 5/3; small and medium 2/G to 4/. lambs 1/ to 1/8, pelts ~d to lOd. Tallow a shade easier, 13/G to 14/. Horsehair 1/ to 1/3 per ib. Cowhair Sd to 3i<l per lb. Oats: Southern market is showing- a tendency to rise,but this market has not yet responded; present rates being 2/3J to 2/i c.i.f. for 'C and 'B' grades. Maize: A fair-sized parcel was received from the coast this week, and last week's rates still hold good. Chaff is quoted at £4 at the rail.
