CROWN LANDS BOARD.
-*—-• ■ Tho ordinary meeting of the Auckland Crown Lands Board was neld yesterday afternoon after we went to press, Mr G. Mueller, Crown Lands Commissioner, prosiding. Messrs Lundon and Renshaw were also present. It was resolved to recommend the Government to change the purpose of Lot 107, Parish of Titirangl. which is gazetted a public hall site, with the view of vesting the allotment in the Point Chevalier Road Board. An application from Messrs Allen and Carr for a timber flotage license over the Wairoa River was granted. It was decided not to grant the request of the Board of Education for an additional area of land for a school site at Opouriao.Whakatane, as the land was required for settlement purposes. Regarding an application on behalf of G. W. S. Patterson asking that the Board would put up for sale 10 acres of land at Ohaeawai containing quicksilver lodes, it was decided to reply that it was not advisable to dispose of mineral lands by sale.
