NATIVE DISTURBANCE.

NEW PLYMOUTH, this day
At ten o'clock laot night Inspector McGovern and a posse of police left for Ouri, near Pihama, where the natives have again started ploughing. The party will be reinforced by contable;: from Hawera and other stations in the immediate vicinity. The land upon which ploughing is going on was ploughed some 12 months ago. On that occasion the culprits were discharged. It is the property of a native belonging to Tohu's following, but the trespassers have objections to the ownership. The police do not anticipate any difficulty in making arrests.

Eig-ht natives were arrested this inurning for ploughing- at Pihama and were taken to New Plymouth. They offered no resistance to arrest. s:KYa-clh,wp 1
