A CHILD BURNED TO DEATH,
(By Telegraph—Press Association.)
WHANGAREI, this day.
News has been received here that a little child two. years of age named Hodgson, of Ruatangata, was fatally burned on Friday last.* Mr Hodgson had been burning off, and left the lire apparently out. The child, with a brother and sister, was playing near where the fire had been, and apparently the clothes of the .little one caught fire. The child was badly burnt, and only survived until Saturday evening, when it died in agony. Much sympathy ia felt for the parents, who are well known.
