LAKE TAUPO
A PECULIAR RISE AND FALL.
TAUPO, this day
A peculiar rise and fall has been noticed in the lake during the last few days. It is supposed to be caused by volcanic disturbance. Towards the western bay occassional rumbling* were heard by some residents. The mountains are not visible owing t° thick weather. _._.-J
