In the final heat for the 'Sportsman's' Challenge Cup, bet-ween Barry and Towns, the former won easily by half a mile Driftwood injured Towns' boat, but notwithstanding he led by several lengths for the first two miles, then became waterlogged, and as the boat was in danger of sinking Towns stopped oft Thorneycrofts, and rowed ashore with difficulty. Towns wanted to row again to-day for £200 a side, but Barry declined.
