The Taviuni left last night for Tonga, Samoa, Fiji, and Sydney. She called in at Russell to-day to take in a suply of coal.
The scow Notr^h pu t into Whangarei for shelter on V/ednesday, with some other chain plsf.es broken and her foresail split.
The Tyser steamer Indramayo is due at this par t about Thursday next. Messrs Heat/.,er, Robertoir, and Co. are the local agents.
H.M/o. Tauranga arrived at Rarotonga from Auckland on 12th inst. She is due here from Rarotonga and tlie Friendly lsla\ids next week.
£he s.s. Hawea, with a cargo of ger:eval produce, leaves Wellington for tTiia 'port direct on Saturday, and is dua early on Tuesday morning.
The Mararoa, which left Wellington last evening for Napier, Gisborne, ana Auckland, brings forward transhipments per Gothic, from London, and Aorangi, from Vancouver.
The Poherua, now due from Fiji with a cargo of raw sugar, leaves on discharge for Picton, Lyttelton, and Port Chalmers. Thence she prceeds to the Bluff to load produce for Auckland, calling in at the usual ports on the way.
Mr Wilson, R.N.R., second officer or the s.s. Mararoa, leaves the vessel at Sydney to undergo a year's, training on the Mildura. Messrs Todd and Wells, third and fourth officers, have been promoted one step in consequence. Mr Gillespie, third officer of the s.s. Pukaki, also proceeds to Sydney for a year's training.
