MAIL ROBBERS PUNISHED.
LONDON, September 20,
Jago find Kynaston, two of the superior officers of the steamer Britannia, have pleaded guilty to systematic robberies from New York mail bags. Jago, who belong-s to the Naval Reserve, was discovered to be an old convict. Jago was sentenced to eight years imprisonment; Kynaston to live years. Jago was first and Kynaston third officers of the White Star liner Britannic. Suspicion was aroaised when they left the vessel n.t New York, and Jago I was arrested at Queenstown on August j IS, returning- to England in another I steamer Kynaston was taken in Isew York when attempting- to dispose of American bonds valued at $20,000, alleged to be the proceeds of robberies. Jago was lieutenant in the Naval Eeserve.
