DEATH OF MR GIBSON.

<» Mr It. S. Gibson, who was injured at the Holy Trinity Church, Devonport,. on Sunday night by falling down the steps at the back of the church, died at the vicarage last evening. After the accident he was in great agony, and though every tiling possible was done by Dr. Douglas and Dr. JKoberton, who was also called in, the internal injuries were so severe that recovery was impossible, and the sufferer ultimately succumbed. Deceased was only 31 years of age, and had lately arrived from the South. The funeral takes place this afternoon, leaving Trinity Church at four o'clock for O'NenTs Point Cemetery.
