£1,945 FROM 794 TONS,
During the month of July the mill of this company worked 24 days, during which time it crushed 794 tons of ore for a yield of 3,371 ounces 6 dwts of bullion, valued at £1,945 2s 9d. This shows a slight improvement upon the previous return, which amounted "to £1,922 4s lOd. Work at this property is being pushed ahead splendidly. Stoping is being carried on as usual at the back of Nos. 5 and 6 levels, and a good class of ore is being forwarded from these points to the battery. At No. 4 level driving south is proceeding in fche Bonanza section, a total distance of 80 feet having been accomplished. Tho lode showing in the face is a compact body three feefc wide and encased in very nice country. Stoping operations have alsp been commenced north of No. 1 winze in the Bonanza ground. At No. 3 level above this fche lode has been driven upon for a distance of 85 feel/ and with, results. In addition to the?e works the enlargement of the old No. 2 level in the Talisman ground has -been undertaken with the object of developing the mine southward from here, Above this No. 2 level fully 200 feet of backs are. available, so thafc ifc will be seen fche company have here a large ancl valuable block of ground available for development. The No. 7 level crosscut is now in a distance of about 680 feefc ancl another 70 feet should see the intersection of the Talisman lode.
