The annual meeting of the Newton Pigeon and Canary Club was held on Tuesday, August 23rd, in the Foresters' Hall. The President, Mr J. Coyle, presided, and the treasurer, Mr C. Bartleyi read the balance-sheet, which was adopted unanimously. The annual report was then read by Mr J. M. Thomson, the secretary. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—President, Mr J. Coyle .re-elected); vice-presidents, Messrs A. H; Grainger and Clem Bartley; treasurer, Mr J. Walker; secretary, Mr J. M. Thomson (re-elected). s Committee, for pigeons; Messrs Will is, Swan, Tait, Eastwood aud Warnock ;,. for canaries,TMessrs Neddrie Forgie and Pitkethley; Auditors, Meiers J M; Hamon and Chas.
