FOOTBALL.
At the weekly meeting of the A.R.U. Management Committee last evening, a letter was read from the Manawatu Union, stating that the proposed Northern tour, embracing Aucklandand the Thames, had been abandoned.
Referees and grounds for next Satur day's Cup matches were arranged as fol lows :—
First Fifteens : No. 1 ground, Newton v. City, Mr Campbell ; No. 2 ground, Grafton v. Suburbs, Mr Mackie; at North Shore, North Shore v. Ponsonby, Mr Katterns.
Second Fifteens: No. 3'ground, Ponsonby v. Newton, Mr W. Walker; No. 4 ground, Parnell v. Grafton, Mr Ferguson ; No. 5 ground, Suburbs v. North Shore, Mr Surinam
Third Fifteens : No. 6 ground, Ponsonby A v. Newton A, Mr Pelham; No. 7 ground, Ponsonby B v. Grafton, Mr Holland ; No. 8 ground, North Shore v. City B, Mr Knox ; at Ellerslie, Parnell B v. Suburbs B, Mr Hosking; at Northcote, North Shore B v. City A, Mr W. R. C. Walker: at Onehunga, Suburbs A. v. Ponsonby A, Mr Sinclair.
