IN BANKRUPTCY.
JAMES MacCORMIC K'S CREDITORS.
A meeting of creditors in the estate of James MacCormick, a bankrupt, was hold this afternoon in the ollice of the Official Assignee in Bankruptcy, Mr Lawson. Mr Blades, solicitor, said ho understood some arrangement could be come to by which Mr MacCormick would apologise Cor certain remarks which be had made regarding Mr J. J. Craig, a creditor, in connection with this case,, and then Mr Craig would withdraw all opposition to Mr MacCormick getting bis discharge, and j would be agreeable to the assets in the i estate being handed over to Mrs Macj Cormick. j Mr MacCormick agreed to do so, and | said that he was excited after the re- , cent meeting- of creditors, when Mr | Cotter was present, and he (debtor) went up to Mr Devore's office and I kicked up a 'terrible shindy' there. He ! heard, too, that Mr Craig had 'said 1 things.' Mr Craig, however, explained that be did not. MrMacCorniick "said be was ver yexcited when he made the , statements. It was resolved to enter on the min- | utes the following apology by Mr Mac--1 Cormick: —'That 1 withdraw all staie- , ments that I may have made at any .'time with regard to Mr J. J. Craig's ..claim against me, or his personal conjiuct towards me.' j Mr Craig then moved that all the . jissets in the estate be transferred to Srs Kate MacCormick, the debtor's This was agreed to. Mr Lawson said a further meeting ■wmld be called to confirm this resolution.
