AUCKLAND COURSING CLUB.

The June meeting of the Auckland Coursing Club was brought to a conclusion on Saturday. The final of the New Lynn Maiden Stakes was won by Mr J. Porter's Soft Goods (by Merchant—Spruce), with 'Mp N. Christian's Newcastle as runner, upl The Avon'file Cup fell to Mr J. Appleby's ,Shootino : tar (by Blue Star—Bide-a-wee), with Mr C. Whitten:s Bluclier runner-up. A Supplementary All Aged Stakes was won by Mr C. Whitten's Lavender Water (by Merchant-Sweet Water), and a Supplementary Maiden Stake fell to Miss Lynn. The meeting was well conducted and some * excellent coursing was witnessed.!
