WESTVILLE.

Sir, —With your permission T would iike to congratulate the .Mayor and Council of the Borough of Newton on changing the name ol! that borough to 'West ville,' been use I find it is a new name and not likely to clash with any other place. The name is a well chosen one, for it truly designates its position to Auckland, being entirely on the west of the city. Again it. is not improbable that the Horough 01 West ville will become pari of the city of Auckland, when it will form the Avestem ward or West ville os its name implies. I find many of the ratepayers are also well pleased with the change, anil trust this now rapidly increasing and important Borough of West ville will continue to tlourish.—J inn, etc., A RATEPAYER.
