The inquiry for flax continues, and from £12 to £12 5s per ton has been offered, but the demand so far is not brisk. Kauri gum is not coming-, in quite so freely as it Avas. Very" little buying- is noAV being done for tl^e American trade, and the tendency of prices is still doAvmvards.
