THE MONTSERRAT.
According to 'Lloyd's Shipping Register' the Montserrat, Avhich landed the Spanish troops at Cienfeugos, is a steel soreAv steamship of 4,076 tons gross and 2,300 tons net register, owned by the Compania Trans-Atlau-tiea, of Barcelona, Spain. She Avas built at Stettin in 1889, and Avas formerly kiiOAvn as the Dania. She is fitted .Avith the electric light and is an up-to-date passenger steamer. Her length is 370 ft, and her beam, 44ft. She has triple-expansion engines, with three cylinders, the length of stroke beipg 55 inches. The nominal horsepoAver of the engines is set doAvn at 530.
