The Hon. J. Carroll leaves for Huntly by the express train to-morrow morning, to attend the native meeting.
The adjourned general meeting of the newly formed North Shore Amateur Swimming Club was held last evening at the Devonport Council' Chambers, Mr W. B. Eyre occupying the chair. Officers were elected as under : President, Mr J. C. Maeky (Mayor of D.evonport); Vice-Presi-dent,' Mr Malcolm Niccol, ; Honorary Secretary, Mr H. H. Dacre; Honorary Treasurer, Mr L. Coleman; Committee, Messrs F. P. Burgess, W. B. Eyre, J. T. Fraser; W. Fraser and J. Lindsay ; Handicapper, Mr W. B, Eyre. It was decided to hold races as under on Saturday week, 2nd April, circumstances permitting : —SO Yards Maiden (scratch),'7s Yards Handicap, 100 Yards Championship of Club, 50 Yards Handicap (under 14),' 75 Yards Handicap (under 16). Eighteen new members were enrolled, making a total of 103 members. The Gothic left Plymouth on March 19th for Wellington.
