THE ARREST OF DR. ORPEN.
No further developments in connection with the extradition from San Francisco of Dr. Orpen l.iavc occurred since the last "Frisco mail arrived here. Detective Maddem, who was sent to San Francisco to bring the doctor back to Auckland, sends word this mail to say that he expected to be detained about another month in the Caljfoniian capital.
