MELBOURNE, this day,
Sir Geo. Turner states that there must be some misunderstanding in London with reference to the alleged conversion of Victorian loans. He has not given the Agent-General- instructions to arrange for the specific conversion of any part of the colony's debit. The only form in which the matter has been dealt with Avas that he had instructed Sir A. Clark to prepare a Bill relating generally to the conversion of loans, so that in future they could take advantage of a favourable market.
