Were it only for the splendid tableaux .which it gives us, " A Royal Divorce ". wouW be well worth seeing -but apart from these altogether the piece has a deep human interest attached to it, bringing before us as ifc doesalife-likepresentiuentoloneoftliegreat men of the world. Napoleon himself conies from the dead past, as it were, to work out his destiny once more, from the signing of the unhappy divorce till. the closing; sceneof all, wherehestandsupon the "rock of ill-omen, St. Helena, watching the sua go down upon all his hopes and fortunes. Last evening, in spite of the dismal rain without, another large audience filled the Opera House, and watched with deepest interest the unfolding of the drama. "A Royal Divorce " can only be staged for a few nights, as "The Prisoner of Zenda has to be pr oduced before the season closes.
