UNEMPLOYED BOOTMAKERS.

CHRISTCHUECH, this day.
At a meeting of the Bootmakers' Union kst night it was reported that of the 290 members on the books of the branch 50 were entirely unemployed, and the remainder were not working half-time. Reports to a similar effect have been received from Dunedin and Wellington. It was resolved to apply to the Government to find work of some kind for those out of Employment.
