NAPIER, this day,

At the inquest on Joseph Brady, coach proprietor, found shot through the head in his stable at Taradale, the evidence showed that deceased was in the habit of remaining in the stable at night for hours to shoot rats with a pea nne, and that not long ago he fell asleep and the rifle exploded, he having a narrow escape. A verdict of " Accidental death" was returned.
