GOVERNMENT AID TO SUFFERERS.

PAHIATUA, this day.
The Hon. Mr Walker visited the firostricken districts on Saturday and yesterday. In reply to a deputation he said he would recommend the Government to remit rents and supply grass seed to those burned out. He gave £20 to the relief fund. :
