IN BANKRUPTCY.

At a meeting of creditors in the estate of Lewis Bros., storekeepers of Poro-o-Tarao, in the King Country, held at the Otticial Assignee's otiice the following resolutions were passed unanimously : " That Mr McCoy be authorised to dispose of the assets (except book debts) to the best advantage on the spot," and " That Mr McCoy be instructed to collect book debts and to allow Mr Benjamin Lewis ten jto. "out. on the first £200 collected and 2i) per cent, for the balance." Benjariiin Lewis, in his sworn statement, attributed his bankruptcy to his father withdrawing his guarantee at the bank, and demanding a settlement of his account for advances and goods supplied, £631 in all. The total liabilities are £1,909 9s lOd, and it is estimated that there will be a surplus of about £297.
