SUDDEN DEATH AT THAMES.
DEATH OF A YOUNG WOMAN
INQUIRIES BY THE POLICE.

THAMES, this day.
A young woman named Ellen Casey, aged 32, residing at Waiotahi Creeks died suddenly on Wednesday. An inquest will be held this afternoon.
LATER
In connection with the death of Ellen Casey, the police and Detective Herbert have been making enquiries. They found that Miss Casey went to Auckland a short time ago and was, it is said, treated by a medical man there. A few days ago .she returned to her home at. Waiotahi Creek, where she was so ill that Dr. Callan had to be called in. Everything possible was done for her, but she died on Thursday morning at 3 o'clock. The jury lias viewed the body, but it will be 3.30 before the inquest really commences.
