All the Clubs in the district entered for the event, viz. : Auckland, Ponsonby, Remuera, Newmarket, Parnell, Mount Eden and Devonport. In the match Remuera v. Auckland on Ponsonby Green on Saturday, January Bth, there was a very keenly-contested game, the totals of the three rinks being a tie on the 21st head, when another head was played and Remuera proved the victors by four points, leaving the Club wins as follows on that date : —Remuera, 4 ; Auckland, 3 ; Ponsonby, 3 ; Devonport, 2 ; Mount Eden, 2; Parnell, 1 ; Newmarket, 0. In the meeting on Wednesday last had Ponsonby won the game it would have caused a tie between Auckland, Remuera and Ponsonby ; however, as the following result will show, Remuera won by 23 points :— REMUERA. PONSONBY.

It may be mentioned that in reference to Newmarket they have given byes all through, having only played one game. It is quite clear from above that the chances are altogether in favour of the Keinuera Club flying the Pennant flag during all next season, as they have not to-day had a defeat, and they have only one more match to play, two teams each side against the Mount Eden Club, on Saturday next on the Devonporfc Green. The following are the two teams selected to meet Mount Eden from the Kemuera Club: —J, M, Geddes, G. Court, I). Ding\vall,A. Holden (skip), v. R. Hull, F. W. Court, H. S. Ruddock, J. M.
