AUCKLAND RACING CLUB.

The monthly meeting of the Committee of the Auckland Racing Club was held yesterday afternoon. The Papakura Racing Club applied for March 17th for the holding of a meeting; but, as the date had been allotted to the Avondale Jockey Club, the request was refused. The following programmes were passed -.—Avondale Jockey Club, March 17 and 19; Ohinemuri Jockey Club, March 17 and 18; Katikati Hack Meeting, February 24 ; Te Puke Hack Meeting, February 24. Disqualifications were removed from the following horses for racing at unregistered meetings :—The Owl, Bonnie Blue, Aroltigeur 11., and Central. The question of laying on water to the racecourse was considered, and it was agreed to take preliminary steps in connection therewith. The Committee further agreed to make an experiment by putting tar on the tan gallop for a distance of three furlongs.
