THE GOVERNORSHIP OF CRETE.
LONDON, January 17.
The " Times " states that the Sultan has approved of the refusal of Tewfik Pasha, the Turkish Minister for Foreign Affairs, to agree to the Czar's strong personal wish for the appointment of Prince George of Greece as Governor of Crete.
