YESTERDAY'S PLAY.

Just as we wore going to press yesterday afternoon the news of J. R. Hood's having carried off the championship of the colony ■ft-as received, and the fact announced in a second edition. The struggle between the D ew champion and H. A. Parker was a very tough one.
