Captain Edwin reports : — " Wind between north-west and west and south at all places during next 12 hours, but changing after that time to between north and east and south-east at all places north of Thames and Manukau. Barometer rise slowly everywhere during next 12 hours, but falling at places north of Thames and Auckland after that time. Sea increasing on East Coast north of East Cape, moderate elsewhere. Tides moderate on all Westerh Coast, increasing on all Eastern Coast. Strong easterly winds, probably with rain, are to be expected at all places north of Thames and Manukau, and moderate to fresh westerly winds, and fine weather everywhere else."
