Brett's Auckland Almanaac for 1898 is now published. As usual, no pains has been spared to make this popular volume complete in all respects. The whole of the book has been carefully revised and written up to date, while all of the many features, including a handy diary, have been retained. Important mining information is given, also a description of our town and country settlements, our wonderlands, high water tables, harbour signals, New Zealand statistical summary, closing and arrival of mails, besides a mass of other information. In addition the Almanac contains a carefully prepared official and local directory. The Almanac is published at the usual price of one shilling, and it forms a suitable Christmas or New Year's gift to far away friends. Orders left at the "Star" Office or with our agents receive prompt attention.
