CALCUTTA, December 9. The British troops have been withdrawn from Tirah.

General Lockhart is proceeding to Fort Bara, where the columns of General Gasalee and General Westmacott are expected to effect a junction .vith the Peshawar column on December 15th.

Two Indian employees connected with the arsenal at Rawal Pindi, in the Punjaub, 90 miles east of Peshawar, have been arrested for selling ammunition to the Pathans for the use of the rebellious frontier tribesmen.
