•The following are the latest quotations : —5 to 1 against St. Paul and Epaulet, 6 to 1 Waiuku and Lord Rosslyn, 8 to 1 Daystar, 10 to 1 Haria and Skirmisher, 12 to 1 Cannonshot, 16 to 1 Sir Launcelot, Leda, Tenus, 40 to 1 Primula, The Brook, Strathbraan, and St. Conon.
The " Press " this morning says on beingapprised at Ashburton of the unsatisfactory gallop performed by Cannonshot on Saturday the owner decided to withdraw him from the New Zealand Cup.
...The following scratchings are announced :—Canonshot for the New Zealand Cup, Mountebank for the Stewards' Stakes.
